Jeni’s Ice Cream is generous enough to have us April 27th from 4p-7p. Clintonville Location located at 4247 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214. All you have to do to support is buy ice cream during this time and part of the proceeds will go to MYMF. We will be on hand to chat about what we have going on as well!
Artist Self Care Day
A time to set aside to speak on mental health with like minded individuals in a safe supportive environment. Event is open to ALL - musicians, painters, dancers, etc - if you identify as a creative you are welcome! This is free of charge and musician/therapist. Benny Turner will be our facilitator who is a mental health expert in music therapy, a musician, and educator.
More on Artist Self Care Day: In virtual spaces, there is typically something trying to make money off of your attention. This workshop centers around creating something collectively in the same room for a sense of calm. It will utilize sound hardware but will not emphasize screen-based technology or the internet. Participants will collaboratively build sound layers using samplers, sounds of nature, and personal instruments, creating a collective atmosphere where prior musical experience is not required.
