Coming Up
We have some amazing events including the BIG one - our Columbus Songwriter Summit. Years ago, (before Covid) if you were around the Columbus scene, you may remember the “Columbus Songwriting Workshop” - well this is that same but re branded. What is it? A full day to network, share songs, and sharpen your skills as a songwriter be it seasoned, or brand new. We also have an Artist Self care Day in April on the 30th at the Be Sanctuary. Check our Events page here for more info.
Below are some images from our Artist Skill Swap where people of different disciplines came together to network, and find new collaborations at Natalie’s Grandview. Thanks to Music Columbus for partnering with us on this event, it was a huge success!
Next Artist Self Care Day is April 30th - a time to set aside to practice self love and reflection in real time with other artists. This is a simple concept where artists of any kind gather for a round table discussion on a mental health topic. We will have Benny Turner a musician and music therapist as our facilitator to guide our discussion. Location for this is The Be Sanctuary April 30th 6:30p-8:30p. Please RSVP here for this FREE event we know you are coming.
Looking to be of service? Looking to volunteer and learn about the music industry. We are looking for you! If you missed our meetup, you can email c.topherjamesATgmailDOTcom and we can set you up!

We wanted to bring the visual art and music community come together and express collective joy. We partnered with Emily Morgan of Columbus Collage Collective to bring you Collage Meets Music at Dick’s Den - here are some photos.

Song Shares
Songs Shares are Every Last Tuesday at Summit Music Hall located at 2210 Summit St, Columbus, OH 43201 from 6p-8p. A monthly meet up where songwriters play a new, old, or unfinished song to other songwriters in a supportive listening environment. Though critiques can be valuable, generally these gatherings are designed to be a safe space to share something new without the pressure or “getting it right”. A monthly peer group to check in with your community, progress your songs, and have fun.
Under-Served Communities
Baked into the process is a goal of serving communities that are often overlooked. Keeping this in mind with everything we do, we look to amplify voices of the black and brown community by not only providing opportunities for them but to have representation on our own team. We pledge to not only bring music to communities like the elderly but give opportunities to musicians to perform for these communities. This uplifts the musicians and the communities they serve. We have worked in partnership with Story Point Senior Living and are looking to expand into other communities.
