Summer Days, Song Shares, and Self Care

Song Share has been at Good Land and it’s been very…good! We really appreciate the community coming out. Last time around we had a lot of spontaneous collaborations with a banjo player, and a few songwriters singing together on a new tune that one had written recently. The support for each other has been really really magical and if you’d like to see some testimonials about people’s personal experience check out @MoveYourMusicForward on Instagram.

Our Artist Self Care Days at the Be Sanctuary have been super healing. Katy Oberle lead us in a collage making experience called “SoulCollage”. A curated session focusing in on utilizing collage as a vehicle for mental health.

We also had our second Artist Skill Swap at Natalie’s in Grandview. We had people put skills they would like to offer on post it notes and then put them up on a wall. People then would look at the note, and grab it off the wall and meet up with that person listed on the note. An interesting way to meet new people for possible future collaborations.

Every single one of these events was completely free for participants. Please donate if you would like to help fund the back end work that makes these possible. We operate on a very small budget at this time and any help is appreciated, consider a monthly small donation that doesn’t hurt the wallet, but helps in the long term.
